If you have recently finished playing Split Fiction and are craving another mind-bending co-op experience, you are certainly not alone. Finding games that successfully blend innovative split-screen mechanics with compelling storytelling can be a challenge. Fortunately, the gaming landscape offers several fantastic titles that capture that exact same magic. Here are the three best alternatives you should play next.
1. It Takes Two
Developed by Hazelight Studios, It Takes Two is arguably the closest experience you will find to Split Fiction. Designed exclusively for cooperative play, it forces two players to communicate constantly to solve puzzles and defeat bosses. The game constantly changes its gameplay mechanics, ensuring that boredom is never an option.

2. Portal 2
For players who loved the puzzle-solving aspects of Split Fiction, Portal 2 remains an absolute masterpiece. Its dedicated cooperative campaign features a separate story and mechanic set that requires two players to use portal guns in tandem. It tests your logic, spatial awareness, and timing in ways few other games do.
3. Unravel Two
Unravel Two offers a charming and visually stunning cooperative adventure. Players control two Yarns who are physically connected by a single thread. This mechanic creates unique gameplay opportunities where one player often has to act as an anchor or bridge for the other. It is slightly more relaxed than Split Fiction, yet still provides deeply rewarding cooperative challenges.
